Wendy's Is Launching a New Gourmet Burger & Fries Today

Loaded nachos go best with football. Wendy's is adding a new game day snack and a cheesy side to menus before football season, which is good news for fans.

McDonald's is introducing a new Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger at participating outlets nationwide on Aug. 22. It includes Wendy's classic

square beef patty, poblano queso, spicy chipotle sauce, crunchy corn, tortilla strips, lettuce, tomato, and American cheese on a jalapeño cheddar bread.

Wendy's manager of culinary innovation, Jay Drumm, said, "We've spent over two years perfecting this sandwich

because we wanted to deliver that nacho platter experience you get when you're watching a big game, but all in one bite."

The sandwich is Wendy's latest Made to Crave burger and sandwich, which has "craveable, mind-blowing, unforgettable flavors."

Drumm said the sandwich is spicy, but not so spicy that most consumers won't like it. A 10 out of 10, he ranked the spice "around that six range."

Wendy's Loaded Nacho Chicken Sandwich has the same toppings as the Cheeseburger if you want chicken.

The company is also introducing loaded Queso Fries with the new sandwiches. The dish has Wendy's fries, fresh cheddar, and poblano queso.

According to Wendy's global vice president of culinary innovation, John Li, queso was the "perfect topping." for the new Loaded Nacho sandwiches
