X, formerly Twitter, restored Kanye West's account. On Saturday, the business told the Wall Street Journal that West cannot monetize his account
December saw the musician's account banned for encouraging violence. West, who legally changed his name to Ye, was suspended after making
antisemitic remarks, including a warning to "Go death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE." These remarks ended commercial partnerships with Adidas and Balenciaga.
The day before his suspension, West tweeted a Star of David with a swastika inside. CNN was unable to determine which tweet was the final straw.

Twitter’s safety team launched “Freedom of Speech, Not Reach” in April to “restrict the reach of Tweets that violate our policies by making the content less discoverable.”
The team must "proactively prevent ads from appearing adjacent to content" that violates this approach.
“More than 99.99% of Tweet impressions are from... content that does not violate our rules,” the safety team wrote earlier this month.
