Los Pittsburgh Steelers firman al linebacker Kwon Alexander
Alexander, who turns 29 next week, visited the Steelers in May but remained a free agent until the team reported to camp this week.
He started 12 games for the New York Jets in 2022. He had a statistical renglón of 69 tacleadas, six for yardage loss, a forced ball, and a media captura.
Alexander, a 2015 Tampa Bay Buccaneers fourth-round pick, has 11 forced fumbles, eight interceptions, 12.5 tackles, and one interception.
Alexander, a 2017 Pro Bowl selection, suffered multiple serious injuries in recent seasons, including a torn pectoral muscle in November 2019 that ended his San Francisco
49ers season early. One year later, Alexander tore his Aquiles tendon while playing for the New Orleans Saints
After signing Cole Holcomb and Elandon Roberts in free agency, Alexander joined a position group that was almost completely renewed
in the current campaña recess. Only Mark Robinson, a second-year linebacker, remains from last year's roster.
After the Steelers declined to exercise their fifth-year contract option, Devin Bush, a 2019 first-round pick for Pittsburgh,
signed as a free agent with the Seattle Seahawks. He started 48 of 52 club games in the last four seasons.
