Costco's Newest Store Opens This Week In Texas

This week, Costco launches its newest U.S. warehouse in Kyle, Texas, bringing two dessert giants together.

The "Pie Capital of Texas," a fast-growing hamlet of around 50,000 26 miles south of Austin, can finally compete with Costco's mammoth 4.75-

The famed warehouse club's big opening couldn't be more perfect. The city said the ribbon cutting will be at 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 30.

The new 152,000-square-foot Costco at I-35 and Kohlers Crossing will have all of Costco's speciality departments, including a huge pie bakery 

and world-famous rotisserie chicken restaurant. Costco's 37th Texas store, 585th U.S. shop, and 850th worldwide.

The business announced 27 additional warehouses in fiscal year 2023, including 14 in the U.S., during an earnings call earlier this month.

According to BizWest, a 150,000-square-foot Costco warehouse at 205 Ken Pratt Blvd. in Longmont, Colo., 33 miles northwest of Denver, will open

Costco will open at the northwest corner of 46th Street North and U.S. 169. Costco's website implies a May grand opening. 

Costco will open another warehouse in Georgetown, Texas, 25 miles north of Austin. The $13 million, 158,000-square-foot Costco near I-35 

By Halloween, KCRA-TV says, a 160,000-square-foot warehouse will open near East Commerce and Arena Boulevard in Natomas, Sacramento.
